If your staff buys a total over $85.00 in books we will donate books to your library or favorite charity. 

Satisfaction Guaranteed - We want you  to be fully satisfied with our product.  If for any reason you unhappy with the books you have received, they can be returned to us for a credit or exchange. Lifetime Replacement Policy - If a book is damaged through customer use, regardless of how long the book has been owned, it can be replaced for HALF PRICE (plus shipping and handling).  Merchandise that  is in stock at this time of replacement is covered.  If the original title is no longer available it may be exchanged  for something of similar value.  ALL BOOKS including library bound titles are covered.

Full Service Library Support - Whether you use Dynix, Molli, Winnebago, Alexandria, or Follet, we can bar code for you.  We also will provide anything from book pockets to printed spine labels.  Please contact us for details on our library purchasing programs.

Foreign Language and English as a Second Language - We have many great introductory books for students learning foreign languages.  Many of our books can also be utilized by students of English as a second language.  Please email our office for out suggestions.

Literacy for a Lifetime Matching Grant Program

What is Literacy for a Lifetime?

· Literacy for a Lifetime is a partnership that brings together Usborne Books with businesses and individuals to support schools and organizations.

· Literacy for a Lifetime offers a fifty percent matching grant in books for every dollar contributed.  For example, a $10,000 donation is matched with an additional $5,000 from Usborne Books and the organization of your choice receives $15,000 in educational materials for their use.

· Literacy for a Lifetime can be used as often as donations become available, has no cap on the amount that can be donated and is tax deductible.

· The receiving organization has full control of  the choice  of the  books.

This program will enhance the corporate or personal donation and is available in all 50 states to qualifying organizations.  Below is a partial list of potential recipients:

REACH FOR THE STARS!!

What is Reach for the Stars?

Reach for the Stars is a pledge-based reading incentive program.   The goal of the Reach for the Stars Program is for the participants to read (or be read to) 300 minutes or more over a two-week period.  This is an average of 30 minutes per weekday.  Education experts encourage routine daily reading and recommend a minimum of 30 minutes every day.   

What groups can participate? 

Any organized group can participate!  This can include schools, individual classes, homeschool groups, public libraries, Scout troops, preschools, daycares, church groups, clubs, charities, sports teams, etc. 

How does it work? 

Children collect pledges from family and friends, then log their reading for two weeks.  (The children do NOT go door-to-door.)  Pledges can be a flat rate (for example, $10.00 regardless of how much is read).  Reach for the Stars is very flexible and can be customized to suit the needs of your organization.  Any-sized group can participate!  

What do we earn?

Your organization will receive 100% return in the form of books of your choice from our current Usborne catalog. You can decide how to allocate the books between your organization and the children participating. If you prefer, you can contribute some or all of the books to a charitable organization of your choice.

How do the children benefit?

 The children develop a daily reading routine, which establishes a habit that can last a lifetime!  They also receive a certificate of participation and the percentage you choose of the books earned by your organization.
